Computer loaners allow current employees to request a computer for short-term use. This can be for a variety of reasons including facilitating hardware repairs, adjunct use, events, and travel.

Benefits and Key Features
- Gives employees a temporary computer while theirs is on order or in for repair.
- Departments needing a computer for adjuncts.
- Extra computers needed for events on campus.
- Able to have either a Windows or Apple computer (Apples generally restricted to Apple-approved departments).
- Travel.
Requirements
- Client needs to be a current employee of UW Stout.
- If requesting 5 or less devices, a two business day notice lead time is needed.
- If requesting more than 5 devices, a two week notice before the event is needed.
Cost
- Short term loans (less than 30 days) are at no cost to the department.
- Loaners to facilitate repairs are at no cost to the department.
- Laptops are inspected on return for damage.
- Damage will be charged back to departments.
