Request Printer Access

Overview

LIT utilizes PaperCut to manage campus printing, including printer access and associated costs. Access to printers is restricted to ensure proper usage and billing.


Eligibility

  • Faculty and staff
  • Student employees (with department approval)

Service Description

Users are not granted printer access by default. Access must be requested and approved to ensure proper allocation of printing resources and accurate chargeback to departments.

Most users are granted access to one designated printer based on their department or role.


Request Process

To request printer access, a department representative (preferably the business manager) must submit a request including:

  • Username of the individual needing access
  • Printer name(s)
  • Funding string (for billing/tracking purposes)

Student employees may also be granted access using the same request process.


Additional Information

  • Access is granted based on departmental approval and funding availability
  • Requests missing required information may be delayed or cancelled
  • Changes to existing access should be submitted through the same request process
