Computer Loaner

Computer loaners allow current employees to request a computer for short-term use. This can be for a variety of reasons including facilitating hardware repairs, adjunct use, events, and travel.

Benefits and Key Features

• Gives employees a temporary computer while theirs is on order or in for repair.
• Departments needing a computer for adjuncts can borrow a device.
• Extra computers needed for events on campus.
• Able to have either a Windows or Apple computer (Apples generally restricted to Apple-approved departments).

Requirements

• Client needs to be a current employee of UW Stout.
• A two business day lead time is needed.

Cost

• Short term loans are at no cost to the department.
• Loaners to facilitate repairs are at no cost to the department.
• Laptops are inspected on return for damage.
  • Damage will be charged back to departments.

• Use the Request Computer Loaner option to request a loaner.
